Northeast Nebraska Child Advocacy Center

The Northeast Nebraska Child Advocacy Center is a child-focused, community-oriented, not-for-profit hospital-based program in which representatives from many disciplines meet to discuss and make decisions about investigation, treatment, and prosecution of child abuse cases.  Through the meeting of victims, families, team professionals and staff, they are able to eliminate the need for victims to visit several different agencies for services.

The center provides a child-friendly environment, forensic interviews with child interview specialists, interactive interview observation by law enforcement and/or social services, adult and child sexual assault medical exams with forensic medical experts, physical assault/injury documentation using colposcopic, infrared, and ultraviolet photography, hair and nail testing, court school, mental health referrals, team case staffing and review, and community education.

The counties served are Antelope, Boone, Boyd, Brown, Burt, Butte, Cedar, Cherry, Colfax, Cuming, Dakota, Dixon, Dodge, Holt, Keya Paha, Knox, Madison, Nance, Pierce, Platte, Rock, Stanton, Thurston, Washington, and Wayne.

The Child Advocacy Center office hours are Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm.  Staff is available on call 24/7.
