Norfolk Summer Recreation Program

There are a variety of different summer recreation programs available for the whole family through the summer recreation program.  Swimming lessons are available at Memorial Pool from June through July. 

Boys baseball for children ages seven through fourteen.  For more information about baseball, contact Kris Luellman at kluellma@npsne.org. Registration fee is $10.00.

Girls softball is for ages seven through fourteen with games at TaHaZouka park Monday and Wednesday evenings.  Registration is $10.00, after the deadline it is $12.00.

Kreative Kids takes place at the Norfolk Arts Center and has different monthly sessions costing $15.00 for each session.  This is for ages seven through fourteen. 

Twisting is a program that teaches dance routines to young girls.  It starts in June and lasts through July.  Girls ages six through twelve can join.  This program is free for participants. 

Morning Tot-Lot is a program for children ages three to six consisting of arts and crafts, playground games, and fun for lower ages.  This program starts in June and lasts for a month.  This program is free!

Men’s basketball starts in Novemeber and runs through February.  There is a $225 team fee for participation, and games are played at the City Auditorium. 

Women’s volleyball starts in late October and runs through December.  There is a $150 team fee for participation, and games are played at the City Auditorium.

Coed volleyball starts in January and goes through March.  Games area also played at the City Auditorium and there is a $150 team fee.

Men’s flag football begins in September and goes into November. Games are played at TaHaZouka park and there is a $200 team fee for participation.
