Nebraska Commission for the Blind and Visually Impared

The Nebraska Commission for the Blind and Visually Impaired (NCBVI) is a state vocational rehabilitation agency for the blind.  This organization assists visually impaired Nebraskans achieve full and rewarding lives through independent living skill and assisting with finding employment in Nebraska and across the country.

Services provided by NCBVI include: Training in non-visual skills that allow full participation in life; Assistance in securing or maintaing employment; Fulfilling employment needs in Nebraska; Career counseling and guidance; Job-related equipment, tools, and supplies; Educational assistance; and Peer support and counseling.

Individuals are eligible to receive services from NCBVI if they have a visual condition which may lead to blindness, or if their sight is so defective as to limit their ability to engage in day-to-day activities.
